Our Minister
Scott Kelley was born and raised in Albion, NY. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Tina, in 1979. They have 4 children and 8 grandchildren. He has an A.A.S. degree from Monroe Community College in Quality Control Technology, as well as several technical courses from RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology).
Scott worked for Kodak for 25 years, followed by several small shops in the Rochester area.
He was baptized at Rochester's Northside Church of Christ in 1984, where he attended until placing membership with the congregation at Brockport, NY, in 1985 where Bro. Lamar Meeks was the minister.
In 1999, after serving many years as song leader, and Sunday school teacher, Scott began preaching for the congregation while supporting his family with secular work. After 16 years preaching part time with the assistance of several other brothers, Scott currently serves as full-time minister.
His goals are to glorify God in all he does, to make it to heaven, and bring as many souls with him as possible.
Leadership
While we do not currently have elders or deacons, we recognize that a mature congregation of the Lord's church will have both elders and deacons, and we have prayerful intentions to work towards that end.
In the meantime, the men of the congregation hold regular business meetings to oversee and conduct the business of the church.
